Montreal Part 1
Stu Kennedy and I went to Montreal this summer. A few of my photos and some quick stories after the jump.
We ended up at a contaminated CPR repair facility that had been abandoned for a long time. The place was amazing, it had been stripped of prettymuch anything valuable, and there were some people tagging when we were there.
Roland, the man in this photo, is the caretaker of the place, and he gave us a very unsafe tour. More people should be like Roland.
We came back another day, met more fun people, and had olives and beer. These guys were named Puryia and xNEMISISx.
Stu found this box and decided to bring it home. They let it through airport security, and he’s probably using it to hold his bandana collection.
I took some photos on the street.
These guys were having an amazing argument, it just went on and on. I took a couple photos but they were pretty dead to the world. I think this might be my favourite photo from the whole trip.
Gabriel, a guy who put us up for a few nights, and I decided to follow Roland’s directions to “another amazing abandoned building.” I took this photo of it from the outside, but pretty soon after I got thrown on the ground and searched by security. The federal government is very serious about not allowing its old abandoned grain factories to be photographed.
Then we went to another spot that Puryia and xNEMISISx told us about. It was scary as hell; in the next photo you can’t really tell but Gabriel is 250+ ft up (the ladder is only 50ft or so).
View from half way.
View from the top.
Montreal is the coolest city in Canada. If it wasn’t for the winters, I’d consider moving there. I think it’s going to have to be an annual summer trip out there for me: the parks, food, weird people, etc. etc…. too much fun. Stu will have a post with his photos up soon.

Good series!! stoked
