Trawling the internet and coming home with seefood.

simonheysworldclock.jpg
World Clock screensaver by Simon Heys. There’s a lot of cool stuff up there too, including a Make JPEG Droplet program that easily converts any img file into jpeg.

helveticascreen.jpg
Helvetica Screensaver, so pretty it warrants a reblog. Both this and Worldclock really make me wish I still used screensavers. Does anyone know if there’s a way to install them on to the desktop background?

Interesting read on the NYT about flickr’s influence on the landscape and style of contemporary photography. The last paragraph about Cartier-Bresson is gold.

Incredibly well animated Blur, Radiohead, and Junior Senior, music videos made by British artist David Shrigley.

christophehuet.jpg
Portfolio of Christophe Huet. Unbelievable photoshop retouching skills, make sure to check out the Making Ofs. Blows my mind…

arcier.jpg
French digital/video artist Hugo Arcier has some really interesting stuff in his portfolio- cute french girls, the mind of a hypnotized women and all, but I also really like this little one.

ideafixa.jpg
Ideafixa, a digital magazine for photography, design, illustration and visual arts. So good, could spend hours on it.

knwallpapers.jpg
Kutsene Noir’s ongoing desktop wallpaper project. Free wallpapers from great artists with a new one fairly often, definitely worth checking out.

morell_6.jpg
Portfolio and audio interview with photographer Abelardo Morell on Lens Culture. Some of his Camera Obscura stuff is absolutely unbelievable.

dontfuckwithlove.jpg
Don’t Fuck With Love video by the Sad Little Stars directed by Jim Starrace. Great concept well executed.

soulwax.jpg
Soulwax (who are responsible for half the remixes, no wait, all the remixes you’ve ever heard) released their Most of the Remixes album in October last year. If you haven’t gotten it by now, you definitely should. There’s a review of the album on the BBC. I cannot get enough of that fucking fantastic album cover.

nikematerials-thumb-600×350.jpg
The Nike 2008 Olympic Footwear series has been blogged everywhere, and for good reason. Say what you want about that company but they really outdid themselves on this one. There’s a nice little summary-feature up on NOTCOT and here’s a link to the whole line on the Nike site.

sgidgrass640.jpg
Winning awards, shooting covers, and represented by the Josette Lata agency- Singaporean photographer Jing. Unpretentious, refreshing, and downright fun. Love his work.

That’s it. Stay tuned for some muxtapes soooon.

  1. Some of the things you find on the internet worry me David Lang. Also, I’m not confident enough in your english ability to decide if “seefood” is a pun or what.
